Regular Reoccuring Revenue.
As a manager who has been in a support role for a medium sized organization I have had difficulty identifing a measurable financial metric that I can use to profess my value to the organization. The organization feels that my activities are of value . They are satsified with my performance. What I can't do is translate this in ROI for my role? In the past, I have whined to myself that I want to be the captain of my own boat. By being the captain, I imagine its easier for me to keep score and be held accountable to the bottom line. I still feel this way and I have been challenging myself to identify a metric that I & others value. I'm using the average % of cost for the discipline I support inorder to develop the products we sell. My challenge is to lower it.
